Nature’s Aromas in Kumily

Nature's Aromas in Kumily

Thru AyurvedaTrip.com, we have the good fortune to enjoy regular educational exploration. Almost two weeks now into our Ayurvedic Aromatherapy Immersion trip with David Crow, today was another jam-packed and amazing day.

We woke in Kumily for breakfast and a quick tour of the botanicals growing around the family guest house we’d spent the night in. Thulasi Devi

Thulasi Devi

In the midst of a significant life transition, Christina Reinhart came to Rasa Ayurveda to experience and learn Ayurveda. A recent graduate of Bastyr University in Washington, U.S., Christina lives in Fargo, North Dakota. The photo shows her blooming in Rasa’s medicinal plants garden, wearing a beautiful Indian sari, nestled close to her favorite plant companion, Thulasi (Ocimum tenuiflorum/Holy Basil). (See her monograph below.)

Christina felt inspired to write this blog entry about her experience during her therapies here at Rasa:

Aromas of each meal fill the air with an invitation for nourishment and healing. The cuisine here is an art form, awakening and transcending the soul of its receiver.

2008 Women’s Ayurveda Scholarship Trip To Rasa Ayurveda

2008 Women's Ayurveda Scholarship Trip To Rasa Ayurveda

Remember the last time someone was really generous with you? What a great feeling, to be blessed by someone’s loving motivation to improve your world…

Grace flowed sweetly into Rasa Ayurveda and into the lives of eight women today through the generosity of a kind and inspired benefactor.

This summer, a generous and anonymous donor granted Rasa Ayurveda the funds for a small group of women to come experience traditional Ayurvedic therapies, meet the plants of the Ayurvedic pharmacopeia, and taste a bit of South Indian traditional life in Kerala. Taking place from September 25th thru October 11th, this trip will offer both healing and learning, as well as chances to share connection, knowledge and insight with local women and with each other.
